30 Weeks

How far along? 30 Weeks
Total weight gain: 26 pounds 
Maternity clothes? Yep.   

Stretch marks? Nope!    
Sleep: Good when I’m not having Braxton hicks or waking up every 1-2 hours to go to the bathroom.

Best moment this week:  Hearing 2 strong heartbeats.  Seems like it has been forever since we have been to the Dr even though it was only 2 weeks.

Have you told family and friends? Yes
Miss Anything?  Standing/walking comfortably.  They are positioned so low.  Sometimes I feel like I’m strangling Miss B with the band on my shorts. 
Movement:  I love my little wiggle monsters.. even though their favorite time to play is when I’m trying to sleep. : /  Just a glimpse of my future I suppose!

Food cravings:  Mexican food & Cappuccino Heath Blizzards.. Yumm!

Symptoms: Restlessness, backaches, BH contractions, waddling (is that a symptom? Ha).. their positions are making it really hard to walk!

29 Weeks

How far along? 29 Weeks
Total weight gain: 25 pounds 
Maternity clothes? Clothes are getting a little more snug.. but I really don’t want to buy more.  Hopefully I can make do. 

Stretch marks? Nope!    
Sleep: Between the contractions and the girls’ 3am dance parties I haven’t been getting much.

Best moment this week: My shower!  It was soo pretty (thanks to my sister & mom).  These little girls are so loved.. and a little spoiled.  : )

Have you told family and friends? Yes
Miss Anything? I hate to complain because I really am loving this pregnancy.. but a good night’s sleep would be okay with me.  Every once in a while.
Movement: The girls learned how to do the hokie pokie!  Yes, at 3am they like to practice their new dance moves.  Yay.. 

Food cravings: I realized that I’ve had Fuzzy’s 4 times in the last 2 weeks.  Sans margarita of course. Not for much longer!

28 Weeks

How far along? 28 Weeks
Total weight gain: 24 pounds 
Maternity clothes?  Hoping I don’t have to buy any more clothes.. but my belly feels like it might pop out of some of my shirts. :/

Stretch marks? Nope! 
Sleep: I guess I better get used to not sleeping.  The Procardia has helped a little but not much.

Best moment this week:  Received 2 bouncers in the mail from a sweet friend that can’t make it to the shower.  Trying to picture our lives a few months from now.. bouncers, swings, toys, diapers, $hit everywhere…. Makes me smile!

Movement:  I swear I have a gymnastics class going on inside of me. 

Food cravings:  I still don’t have any major or weird cravings.  That being said, we’re going to get blizzards here in a few minutes. : )

Symptoms: Restlessness, backaches, BH contractions like crazy.  I hate Braxton Hicks.  I now get them all day long no matter what position I am sitting/laying/standing/walking.

27 Weeks

How far along? 27 Weeks
Total weight gain: 23 pounds 
Maternity clothes?  Tank tops, tank tops, and more tank tops.  It’s a hot mother out there.

Stretch marks? Nope! 
Sleep: Blah.  Blah.  Blah.  Restless legs, Braxton hicks, squirmy girls, restless mind.  I am soo tired!  I haven’t had a problem with naps though, so I am fortunate to be home during the day and be able to catch up on some sleep here and there.

Best moment this week:  3 pool days!  2 at a friend’s house - got to see lots of sweet babies/toddlers and catch up with friends.  The dynamic has changed so much with this group.. love it!  And 1 pool day at nana & papa’s house.  The girls love the pool!  Or my back does anyway.  I can’t wait to get them in their baby bikinis and in the pool next year!

Miss Anything?  The non-drinking thing really hasn’t been bad at all up to this point… but I would be lying if this heat hasn’t made me daydream about a summer beer or two!
Movement:  The girls are still wiggly worms.  We saw Miss B kicking Miss A’s head during our sonogram this week which was a little funny to watch since she has usually been the calm/cooperative one. 

Food cravings: Watermelon & pineapple.. yumm!

26 Weeks

How far along? 26 Weeks
Total weight gain: 22 pounds.  At my 25 week appt I was measuring 31 weeks (in comparison to a single pregnancy)… yikes!
Maternity clothes?  Yes.. even though I don't have a whole lot of places to go that I need to get dressed for..
Stretch marks? Nope.  Although… I can’t exactly see my entire belly/body so I might need Brian to investigate.  I hope they stay away!!
Sleep: Blah.  I still get Braxton Hicks when laying on my sides.  My OB put me on Procardia so hopefully that helps!
Best moment this week:  Realizing that in 11 short weeks (or less if they decide to come earlier) we will get to hold these sweet girls.  My heart flutters every time I think about it.

Movement: These girls are nuts.  I love watching my belly all day – it is very entertaining!  We have picked names for the girls but we were having a hard time deciding which one is which so we’ve been calling them Miss A and Miss B.  Pretty sure our feisty one “Miss A” will be Madison and our laid back one “Miss B” will be Miss Landry.

Best moment this week:  Brian put the cribs together.  The nursery is coming together. : )  I also got to relax in my parents’ pool for a few days.  I think the girls loved it!

Sleep: Fine once I fall asleep.  Getting there is a different story.

Best moment this week: My work shower!  So much fun.  The girls are already spoiled rotten.  Also, getting to see the girls.  Both are measuring right on track!  Baby A is our little wild child and Baby B seems to be pretty mellow.  I'm sure she is fooling us!

Sleep: Not too bad but who knew that rolling over could be so complicated?

Best moment this week: The cribs came in over a month early! Went to Buy Buy Baby and loaded up the truck with 2 cribs and 2 car seats.  Fun fun!!

Miss Anything? Today is Mother's Day and while I’m feeling so thankful and blessed for these 2 little girls, I am missing Liam & Avery terribly.

Food cravings: Corny dogs, pickles & mustard.  I was eating some pickle spears the other day and decided that it would be a good idea to get out some mustard and dip them.  Yumm… and weird.

On pins & needles, we watched our babies grow and grow.

Babies at 9 Weeks

Fourth pregnancy, second twin pregnancy, no babies to snuggle at home.  After a ton of research and a million prayers, we travelled to Chicago for a very necessary surgery.  I was 10 Weeks when I had a Transabdominal Cerclage placed by the amazing Dr. Haney.  The TAC is essentially a band placed at the top of my cervix that (God willing) will keep it closed throughout my pregnancy and not allow these babies to make an early appearance.

After an extremely difficult year, we were blessed with another miracle.

We were nervous/anxious/overjoyed to see our sweet baby.

On Valentine's Day, we got a little surprise...

Not one cupid baby, but TWO cupid babies!!  Baby B must have been playing hide n seek at the last appointment.

God is Good!

Liam & Avery

It's hard to believe that it has been over a year since we said goodbye to our precious babies, Liam & Avery.  Due to cervical issues, I went into preterm labor at 19 weeks.  On 2/28/2012, we got to meet our angels.  They were perfect in every way and we will cherish the short time that we had with them for the rest of our lives.  They will forever have a huge piece of our hearts. <3
